I helped my friend Sam develop the concept for this film and write the first page of the script. When he later finished the script and sent it to me, I was completely blown away by the humor and the light tragedy.

I co-directed the film with him, and drew a great many storyboards, and it became an incredible experience for both of us as we made our first full-featured narrative short — a full crew, sound editing, dialogue, designed for actual comprehensible storytelling.

And we did make a comprehensible, human story that touched on a lot of our friends and collaborators' fears about the future! I'm proud of the way we brought a lot of people in our UCSB film community together with this project. And I'm proud of the way it turned out.
